Headset Interference on 9650 IP Phone

Headset Interference on 9650 IP Phone

(OP)
We have a home agent, using a 9650 phone via Meraki router, who is experiencing major interference when using the headset (HIS Cord, Plantronics headset). She has no issue if using the handset or speaker, only the headset. We've ran the gamut of getting new cable service, new phone, new Meraki, moved her to her cable modem, replaced the headset, provided a wireless headset... we've run out of ideas.

Comcast came out and alleges there is no electrical interference with their cable drop.

Does anyone have any ideas what may be occurring?

RE: Headset Interference on 9650 IP Phone

grounding.

I was an agent at an office with the motorized "desk goes up, desk goes down" buttons. There was a metal crossbar between the two main legs of the desk that caused the worst interference. We'd all kick it out and health and safety would make us put it back.

Tell'em to grab onto a water pipe. And not the bong kind :p
