Door phone on Basic mode won't stop ringing unless picked up. Help

(OP)
I have a customer who has a IPO 9.0 basic mode. I hooked up a Avaya door phone to a analog port and the phone works fine. The issue is that when someone hits the button on the doorphone and no one is home it rings indefinitly. Help I have been working on these systems for a long time but this one has me stumped.

Does it ring to a HG? Maybe program a no answer timer to another HG with a phantom user with that user hard forward to short code of a disconnect or "clear call"?

IPO 9.0 basic mode does't have those options.

This has been an issue with basic mode for a while and still exists on R11. Don't expect it to get fixed Avaya could care less about Basic mode. Loudspeaker paging also does not work right on R11 at least the first few service packs.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
