Avaya IX Workplace (Equinox)

(OP)
Hello,
We are in the process of vetting the soft phone portion of this application before moving forward and having some issues. We are on release 7.1 for CM, System and Session. We copied our current 46xxsettings file and renamed it so this application only pulls info from the test txt file. Had our DNS group build the PRT, SRV and TXT records for it to query. From what I was reading in the very vague documentation nothing really to change in the settings file. When opening the client (Windows) enter the email address and it logs in, but then we have to log out to configure the phone and calendar piece. Once we do that we can make outbound calls but the inbound do not work. We get a message when you click on the people icon on the top left to sign out of "No incoming call features available". We set this up as TCP so we wouldn't have to add the certs and the station is built as dual registration. If anyone has any ideas on how to get this message error resolved so we can receive calls I would appreciate it. If the testing proves successful for the client then we would be looking to do an Avaya Device Services deployment.

Thank you,

No incoming call features means your PPM data is not reaching the endpoint. TraceSM and look at the PPM data. Typically it is a number format issue not matching the Comm Profile of the station. Verify your public or private numbering plan.

No inbound typically means you failed to configure the OPS portion of the station.

There are numerous parameters which you will need to learn and set in order to automatically configure the client.

jimbo,
The first portion has to do with my station. I built a new one and it works. The auto configuration isn't working because the US is closing the http port on the US so the client can't get to the txt file. I was setting this up with http and TCP just for testing. With that said we are going to flip it to TLS and use our third party certs but where do these get loaded? Or do you add a path in the txt file to point at System Manager? Or does the cert need to be loaded on the US with a path in the txt file? The documentation left out a lot of stuff needed in the txt file but I was able to find a youtube video that went through these like SAC enable/disable and EC500 enable/disable. I appreciate the assistance.

Thank you

I'd be interested in what you did to resolve the No Inbound Call Features, as I am having the same issue and I did already change the OPS.

I'm also just doing TCP for now and not using any 46xxsettings file, just doing a manual config of the client.

Stinney,
Sorry I have been out of pocket lately. You will need to add a bunch of items to your new 46xxsettings file. See below. I have all this working without AADS and it does the auto-config for PC's and Laptops.
