Is there a way to send a ringing huntgroup call to voicemail?

Thanks.

RE: Huntrgoup call sent to voicemail

Such a vague question........ yes

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

RE: Huntrgoup call sent to voicemail

check the voicemail box under the voicemail tab in the group.

Is there a way for a huntgroup member to send a call to voicemail while that call is ringing on their phone without first answering the call?

"check the voicemail box under the voicemail tab in the group."

I need to be able to send a ringing call voicemail. I believe your solution will only send the call to voicemail once the phone has stopped ringing.

RE: Huntrgoup call sent to voicemail

What kind of voicemail do you have? What kind of huntgroup is it? How many people in the huntgroup?

This is why I said it was vague.

One example how this could work:
You have an incoming group with receptionist in it and voicemail turned on, receptionist logs out of group, should send call to voicemail because no active users.

If you have 50 users that is not a reasonable solution. That is why the more information you provide the better answer you will get.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.

The 9XXX modles should have a soft key 'To VM' when the call is ringing. But a better idea of what you are shooting at is in order.

Oh yes budbyrd brings up another very valid question... what kind of phones do you have?

9608 or 9508.

Embedded Voicemail.
Two people in the huntgroup.
Business owner requested a new DID be routed to the group for a promotion he is running.
I set the group up as collective call waiting since either person should be able to pickup right away.
Owner wants to be able to be able to send a call to voicemail when he is too busy to take the call like he can when a call comes directly to his extension.

Hitting Message button works. Thank you.

RE: Huntrgoup call sent to voicemail

Reduce the Voicemail pickup time until he had enough time to answer but that the caller has not to wait for too long.

Anyways... If he gets busy he should set the group out of service.

RE: Huntrgoup call sent to voicemail

So... Make it collective not collective call waiting. Use a DND or log out if the other person isn't going to be available.
