Hi folks,

Not a phone system guy but 'my circus, my monkeys' is in play. So the problem I have, all the phones in the office are Avaya 1616's. I was demonstrating to a user how they can quickly dial a user by using the contacts button only to find their contacts just allows them to list someone new. Where as on my handset and other we can search through All etc.

Reviewed a few other handsets and they too are unable to see the directory, but the vast majority of phones here can. I have tried to reset one but that didn't do anything. I have tried to compare configs of the user accounts in the Manager but when I log users into other phones, then they can access the directory. All the phones should be downloading the same configs, any ideas or simple solutions that I am over looking?

Need more information. What version is your system running? What firmware are the phones running? Is there a correlation between firmware on the working and non working phones? Anything common to the working or non working phones (firmware, switch, different subnet/VLAN, etc).

The more information you can provide the more likely you are to get assistance.

The truth is just an excuse for lack of imagination.
