9608 DTMF Issues on PRI

9608 DTMF Issues on PRI

(OP)
Hello,

I have a 10.1.5 IP500v2 with a PRI and 9608G phones. The 500v2 has a combo card, VCM32 and a PRI daughter card. I am troubleshooting an issue where DTMF tones are not working only when making outbound calls via the 9608s. DTMF works fine when using a butt set in an analog station and when forwarding calls via the incoming call routes. With the 9608, you can press the tone and there is a pause as though the tone is recognized but it never works.

It has been found that the DTMF tones seem to work when you call from the 9608 and conference a third party into the call. So 9608 --> B does not work but 9608 --> B and C does work. It is totally bazaar and I am honestly running out of options here..

The PRI, combo and VCM cards were all swapped without any success.

Any ideas?

RE: 9608 DTMF Issues on PRI

Can you put the call on hold then pick it up immediately to enter DTMF tones again, without conferencing a third party?

Nope, that does not change anything.
