I am setting up a G430 with an S8300D LSP. CM6. G430 firmware is 38.21.2. System platform and templates (6.3) have been installed and configured using the S8300 services port. The utility server has also been configured for DHCP using the S8300 services port. The problem is I have not been able to connect to the CM web interface or utility server when connected through LAN ports 10/3 or 10/4 of the gateway. Can not telnet, SSH, or even ping any IP address on the S8300D through the LAN ports on the gateway. The gateway is registered to the core and root can be accessed using telnet or SSH. Can't ping any IP address on the S8300D (CM, system platform, utility server, etc.) from the gateway. Feels like I am missing something simple?

Try doing a show faults command in your G430. Also that version of firmware might be too high. If you skipped any firmware versions on your way up, you might need to downgrade your firmware to at least 36.26.0 or lower, and if you still plan to upgrade then make sure you boot on each firware version, install a 37.x version firmware and boot on it before going forward with 38.x
