DIUT2-T1 ls LOCKED

DIUT2-T1 ls LOCKED

DIUT2-T1 ls LOCKED

(OP)
Good morning all,

Need to ask a quick question - I show the following on my dashboard: DIUT2-T1 LOCKED

Does this mean that my T1 reached the maximum of errors and it locked the board?

Thanks,

eric

RE: DIUT2-T1 ls LOCKED

It has nothing to do with errors. You can have a link completely drop and it won't tell you that in the dashboard.

Not entirely certain, but I found this in the documentation... maybe the board was deactivated? If that's the case, ACT-TDCSU should fix it.

DEACTIVATE-TDCSU

DEACTIVATE-TDCSU PEN1=<number>, [PEN2=<number>], [DEV=<param>], [OFFTYPE=<param>];

This function is used to place digital trunks in the out-of-service (locked) or maintenance (soft locked) state.
The maintenance state is used to restrict normal traffic while still allowing diagnostic test calls. Both sides of the interface shall continue to process incoming calls in the maintenance state with the assumption being that these are diagnostic test calls from the far end. Deactivation for maintenance state shall be carried out with OFFTYPE=DC (deactivate conditional).
The out-of-service state is used to restrict all traffic, including diagnostic test calls. Deactivation for out-of-service state shall be carried out with OFFTYPE=DI (deactivate immediate) or OFFTYPE=L (long-term deactivation).

RE: DIUT2-T1 ls LOCKED

Does it say "LOCKED" or "LOCKED BY AMO"??

The second one generally means a command was issued to deactivate the board.

Is the LED on the board Red?

If the whole BOARD is deactivated you would want to ACT-BSSU:AUL,<pen>; and provide the PEN of the board. Converesely to deactivate a whole board you would use DEA-BSSU (choose immediate or courtesy, which might take a while).

To activate/deactivate DEVICES (such as individual phones or B-channels on a T1 board) you would use ACT/DEACT-DSSU.

If the board is locked by dependability or soemthing the service is already down, so you can also try to yank the board, wait 5 seconds and pop it back in and it will reload and hopefully come up on its own. It is important to note that these T1 boards can support 2 circuits, and if only one of them is down you will interrupt service to the other one at the same time.

You can display the status of a board showing the channels with DIS-SDSU:ALL,,PEN,PER3,1,<shelf>,<board>; (PER3 shows more detail, PER2 shows less detail).

For T1 boards you can also try to get more information on WHY the board is down by using DIS-BSSU:1,<shelf>,<board>; and that will tell you the board link status (green, red, red after receiving blue, etc) and it will also tell you if the board is taking errors like FS (frame slips), ESF (extended super frame), etc. If those error counters are really high you need to do additional investigation - possibly with your carrier if the board supports outside trunking.

RE: DIUT2-T1 ls LOCKED

Don,

As an aside, if I try dis-bssu: on my system it always says no statistics are available.
Any ideas?
e.g

DIS-BSSU:1,1,14,0;
H500: AMO BSSU STARTED
F27: MODULE 1-1-14 MODULE HAS NO STATISTICAL DATA

RE: DIUT2-T1 ls LOCKED

DIS-BSSU only provides stats on T1 boards as far as I know. Is that what the board you are referring to is?

If so, I will have to ask someone if there is a way to turn that on and off, because all the way back to 9006 that was always my go-to way to prove to a carrier that a circuit was taking errors.

If you want to look at some of the stats on STMI or NCUI cards you can get some limited information out of the WBM on the card by hitting its gfateway IP with HTTPS://

RE: DIUT2-T1 ls LOCKED

Hi Don,

It's a dual trunk card with two E1 connections (1x DASS2, 1x DPNSS)

Part Number: Q6401-X , Board Name: PBCDG-FU

RE: DIUT2-T1 ls LOCKED

Hi,
That's the CDG - Cornet - DPNSS Gateway
Stats are not used on that board in that method, you have to make up a cable using a VGA plug, use the top socket.
Most you can do without the cable is empty and flash the card with loadware.

The path to cdg loadware on the Hicom/HiPath is
:A1H1E:APSP/LTG/LG74
The loadware is called PZFCDG00
Look at the first 100 bytes or so to see the version
for example

EXEC-LWCMD:1,61,CDG,"HELP",30; (in this example 1=ltg,61=slot)

EXEC-LWCMD:1,103,CDG,HELP;
EXEC-LWCMD:1,61,CDG,"HELP",30;
H500: AMO LWCMD STARTED
AMO-LWCMD: LOADWARE DIAGNOSIS COMMAND - VERSION: J2.005

RETURNED DATA FROM CDG LTU= 1 SLOT= 61

CDG Loadware Version: c54sdd
CDG Eprom Version: V30113-D986-E1
CDG Extender Version: EXBOOT_X140CAG
Free memory : 1819168
Minimum free memory : 1819168
Function ID = 3 (Full Integration)
Loadware backup indication : completed
Current date: 237/255/24955
Current time: 00:43:48
Commands:
Backup_DB Help
CallCounters [Reset] Reload [Keep_DB]
Date [DD MM YYYY] Restart [Discard_DB]
Execute Obj-id Meth-id [params] Show [Obj-id]
Flog [C(lear)] Time [HH MM SS]
3>
AMO-LWCMD-165 LOADWARE DIAGNOSIS COMMAND FOR CDG-BOARD
EXEC COMPLETED;

7 ->
6 ->
5 ->
4 ->
3 ->
<-2
<-1

Switch 1&2 are ON and all others off (1&2 for 1 circuit only max 2 ccts are possible)
This is the setting for 1 Circuit DPNSS
The 'segment display' on the card shows the letter P with a dot up on
the top left.

TO REFLASH CARD so as it clears out the loadware and gets it again from the hard drive.
remove card
push switch 6 towards front of card (ON)
re-fit card
wait for F&E to flash on the display
remove card again
Pull 6 towards back of card.(OFF)
Re-fit card and wait for the P.

If you have 2 links then switches 1&2&3&4 are on - rest off.
and you will have a top left hand dot and the capital letter 'A' to
show the 2 links are up and running.
