Auto create conference bridges

Auto create conference bridges

Auto create conference bridges

One of our customers said users themselves could create conference bridges themselves while they were using Nortel systems. Right now on AVAYA , we created different conference ID for them so that users can change password of the conference rooms. The customer said he wants the users to be able to create conference ID and passwords themselves because the IT department have more than 10 conference room request daily and they get confused on which ID has been given out .I would like to know if someone has had this type of request before and if there is a sample voice mail pro call flow example i can use .

RE: Auto create conference bridges

Can't you use One-X Portal, users should be able to admin their personal conference bridge through that.

RE: Auto create conference bridges

Thanks for the input . Will this customer be able to do that on release 9.1 ?.

RE: Auto create conference bridges

I've got mine setup so the user's extension (or conference phone extension) is the conference ID. Users set their own 5 digit pin.
internally, the host and callers use a short code to get into the conference & have to enter the ID & Pin.
External callers call a DID that goes to the conference module in VM Pro.

RE: Auto create conference bridges

Hello pated66 .This is a very good idea , i understand how to create shortcodes for the users to change conference password . How do i create the different ID as extension numbers . Do you mean if i have 200 extensions i need to manually create 200 IDs ?. Is there a way to automate the ID creation ?.

RE: Auto create conference bridges

You don't have to create them. Just dial *66*<extn># or create another nice short code like 99xxxx/conf meetme/N

The rest will happen automagically in IPO.
