We have so few of these out there any more I think I have forgotten more than I know. Just need help with setting up a situation that I can make all phones ring at the same time from a PRI.
Any suggestions would be welcome.

RE: Magix-- Make PRI ring at all extension

It depends on how many telephones you need to ring. You could do this with a coverage button for the main extension and point the DID to the main extension. The limitation with coverage buttons is 8 people though so only 8 other phones could have the coverage. The other option would be to send the call to a hunt group and put those members in the hunt group as group ring. The only issue with this is you would need to log everyone off in order for it to cover to voicemail. So, anytime a user was logged in it would continue to ring that user and not fail over to voicemail.

I have added pickup buttons to users and used the coverage option before when users are in range of hearing the phone ring.

Appreciate you getting back to me. I needed a total of 18 phones to ring. I tried a cover to a cover that didn't work out so well. Tried putting the PRI channels on the extensions, that would light a light but not ring, would show up as immmediate ring in WInSPM, just didn't ring. I had tested the ring all hunt group in our lab system, which is what was I was planning on doing, to find out the software was to old to support it and only has liniar, circular, and most idle. Finally explained the options to the customer and went with most idle. hairpull3 I will be so glad when the last few of these we support finally die.

all relative questions:

is only a specific incoming telephone number involved?

is there a live, manned system answering console?

is a different night answer arrangement involved?

do you have remote programming capability?

is caller id working properly at all current answering telephones?

are any analog trunks involved in the solution?

RE: Magix-- Make PRI ring at all extension

If you have any T&R Ports (Single Line) you can set one of these as a COVER for the thing that's ringing, and then connect that port to a Line Port.

Then, you can assign the line port to all the phones you want to ring, and it will act just like a regular outside line.

You can repeat the process for as long as you have T&R Ports, Line Ports and Blank Buttons on the receiving phones available.
