Norstar NAM remote login issues

Norstar NAM remote login issues

Norstar NAM remote login issues

Hey all,

I am troubleshooting an issue with our Norstar NAM. We have a macro program setup to login to the Mailbox Manager program and upload new wav files to our vm system that recently stopped working. Additionally I can no longer login as administrator with norstar voice mail manager software.

The phone system itself is fine, and most of the NAM features are still operational (I can FTP to the system, telnet, ping etc) Its JUST the nortel applications that will no longer connect. I was curious if there is a program or service on the NAM that acts as a listener for these connections that needs restarted? Restarting the phone system seems to fix the issue for about 24 hours before the problem arises again.

On another note, I was curious if its possible to upload wav files directly to inboxes via FTP? and if so what directories I should use in OS/2 for that?

If anyone can point me to some good documentation on the OS/2 system and applications I'd greatly appreciate it. The majority of the text I've found deals strictly with handset administration.

RE: Norstar NAM remote login issues

1. Sounds like hard drive is going

2. You cannot upload greetings due to format

3. Try IBM forums for OS2 warp docs, not much you can do in there (if any) as far as voice mail features.

You might want to try upgrading to Callpilot 150 where you can import and export greetings (wav).
Do you know what software the phone system is and how many mailboxes do you have?
