Hi All.

I have an ip office 500 v2 running 10.0.0.5.0 with embedded voicemail ip office mode.

When I dialled the *17 to initialize the mailbox, I don't get the message "Avaya IP Office for help at any time press *H"
I just get the "enter your password". I am not given the initial setup tutorial.

The system has been rebooted, the users recreated, password for the voicemail entered, voicemail help selected, and I don't get the tutorial.

Any ideas?

Regards

Disable the "enforce password" setting in System>Voicemail, set the VM Type as "IP Office"enter the "V<extension number>" in the users sourcecode.

Did work for me today on 10.1.0.0.0.0.0.0.0.and something

Hi intrigrant.

The source number was removed.
The password enforcement was totally disabled on both the voicemail and telephony.
The Embedded Voicemail is set to IP Office Mode, and I get the same result.

I added the VXXX number in sourcecodes and the only difference is that now I get straight through to the "You have X voicemail".

Regards

That's what you do get on embedded, it's only VM Pro (and VM Lite) that you get the "for help at any time" prompt as soon as you log in :-)

And then enable User>Voicemail "Voicemail Help

BTW, it is all covered in the Manager help file, the one you get after pressing F1 in Manager....

Got it working.

1) Set IP Office Mode in System -> Voicemail to Embedded Intuity Mode.
2) In User -> Voicemail set the password, select voicemail help.
3) Remove the Source Code in User
4) Save.

This will cause, with a new Mailbox, for you to be:

1) Prompted for Extension number and password.
2) After entering, you will have Silicon Sally give you the walk through.

Thanks for the help guys.
Hope this helps someone else.

Regards

Yes, yo don't get that in IP Office mode, wouldn't know about Intuity...yuk :-)

Intuity, sounds like Inuit

In IP Office mode with Voicemail Help enabled you get "For help at any time press 8" which is not available for intuity
