time warner smtp issues with goldmine

I just moved to Simi Valley CA and have Time Warner internet. I can send email through Outlook, through webmail (not roadrunners email account, but private and work emails).
When I use Goldmine, I can download emails but cannot send emails. I am able to send and receive from Goldmine at work on my laptop, so the problem has to be something to do with Goldmine and Time Warner. Their tech support was of no use. As soon as they discovered my issue was with a non-roadrunner email account they washed their hands of me.

I have stunnel installed on my home computer for my gmail account, but even this wont work. Do I need to change my stunnel settings to make everything work or is the issue with the SMTP settings? I am using Goldmnine 6.5xxx

RE: time warner smtp issues with goldmine

Many ISPs block port 25 traffic if it is not going to or through their mail servers. Check if an alternative SMTP port is open, usually 587.

Thanks Chris, but I already tried that. It works if I use Outlook, but not Goldmine!

RE: time warner smtp issues with goldmine

What is the domain part of the account that you are trying to use? Not Time Warner. It must be GoldMine if Outlook works, so ask them.
