re-import sub report option

re-import sub report option

re-import sub report option

Using Crystal 2008, Enterprise XI R3

I built few reports individually and they have again been used as sub reports in a single main report. I used the option as re-import sub report when opened. How do I find what path is the sub reports re-imports from.

How does this option work when the main report is published in the Crystal enterprise?
Do I need to save all the individual reports to Enterprise location for them to re-import the sub report every time it is auto scheduled?
How do I change the path of the sub reports in the main report?

Appreciate any help or advice.

Thanks in advance,

RE: re-import sub report option

Let me explain what I understand about sub-reports. Once a sub-report is added to a report, it becomes part of the main report. Crystal is nice enough to allow you to save the sub-reports separately and also to allow you to re-import a sub-report.

When you publish to Crystal Enterprise (which I hope is similar to to SAP BOXI). You should only have to save the 'main' reports since the sub-reports are part of the main report. You could save the individual sub-reports to Crystal Enterprise, there may be a business need to do so, but I do not believe it will affect the running of the main reports.

I hope this helps.
