How much Bandwidth needed?

How much Bandwidth needed?

How much Bandwidth needed?

We have about 100 staff that are connected to to our LAN. We want to connect them to Internet through a VPN Server. How much bandwitdh is needed to give the staff reasonable speed out on Internet. The Datacenter can give us 500 Mbit/s.

RE: How much Bandwidth needed?

will they be downloading a lot of stuff?  do they watch youtube.com videos during the day?  are they ftp'ing stuff?  do you have offices in other countries?  are there critical apps that need bandwidth?

i dont think there is just one answer

RE: How much Bandwidth needed?

All users are in Germany. They will mostly use for surfing and downloads

Some travel to countries like UAE and China

RE: How much Bandwidth needed?

i would start with at least 10Mbits/s and if more is needed, scale it up

RE: How much Bandwidth needed?

Ok Thanks
Then will the 500Mbit/s be enough for a while.
