Has anyone tried installing FileMaker 8 on Server 2003 R2? I can't even get the to come up in the browser. We are not able to get it to run, and Filemaker refuses to help because it has not been tested yet on R2. They wouldn't even go through the troubleshooting steps as if it were on a non-R2 machine to help me check my notes.

Indeed, as far as I know FileMaker 8 has not been tested yet on Server 2003 R2.

And FM Inc. doesn't want to give support for not tested issues.

Maybe MS can help you.

Well, I got FileMaker to work on the 2003 R2 server yesterday. We've been testing it out, and everything seems to be OK. One of my co-workers made a change to the server that I wasn't aware of, and it caused all of the problems. I did the install on the R2 server the same as the 2003 Standard server, so FileMaker doesn't seem to be as picky about the change as I first thought.
