I have two IP Offices (403 DT) at different locations. We have a VPN between the two sites.
Would it be possible to set up phone manager for each user so that they have a BLF across the two sites. ie everyone in office A can see who is on the phone in office B ?

I don't know where to start so any ideas would be welcome

thanks in advance
Dave

If you setup phone manager as an ext on remote site with an speed dial of everyone in the office, sure it would work. It wouldn't function in any other fashion than to be a BLF, but I think that's what you're looking.

To my surprise I noticed that on 3.0.40 if you have two IPO's connected via SCN you can add users to your speed dial tab that exist on the other system, and it will show you their status.

you can also do this in lower versions as long as SCN is happening and ports are open

Setup an IP line (a new line with ip address of the other system) on each site and turn small community networking on. Make sure 0 voice, outgoing and data lines.

Setup a service at each site to authenticate.

Setup up an ip route to point to your gateway using lan1

Have a look in the engineers toolkit for some more help.
