Recommended POS software for small department stores?

Recommended POS software for small department stores?

(OP)
My company is looking at upgrading from our DOS based point of sale system (Infocorp' SoftwarePOS) to a windows based system. We are doing some research and looking for recommendations on what would be a good system for our company. We are a small-mediuam size department store with 5 locations, each location has at most 5 checkouts.

Anyone have any experience or recommendations of a good windows based system?

Thanks for any input.

There are many many point of sale solutions for the retail area.  Make everyone you interview demo exactly what you want to see.  Never leave anything sitting at the point where the sales rep says we can make it do that.  Show me should be your response.
