Hello, I am using ZoneAlarm Pro 3.1 Pro.

Everytime I try to load Zone Alarm Pro or Zone Alarm, I get the same Error!

--------------------
ZAPRO has caused an Error in VSDATA.DLL
ZAPro will now close.

If you continue to experience problems, try restarting the computer.
--------------------

The same error occurs even if after restarting the computer, uninstall and reinstall, Installing various version of ZoneAlarm. Bascially, anytime I load Zone Alarm, the error will occur.

I try looking all over ZoneAlarm for a message board or indication of error. No help. I send Email over week ago to Zone Alarm Lab, No response.

As I see it, you'll have to COMPLETELY uninstall ZA...and then reinstall it.
For completely removing it...here's a link...look at the long post from agkalman...and follow it thru. Remember to Export registry keys you're about to remove and save them as whateveryoucanremember.reg files so you can just double click on them and reinstall the strings. It SHOULDN'T cripple your system, tho, to remove them.
Then you should be able to install it anew and have it work.
There's also a newer free install...

Distill anyting down dere in de swamp?
(Oh it's vodreaux, not Boudreaux!)

I Follow the steps on it to the word. Remove all traces of Zone Alarm Pro from my system from REG Entries.

Try to reinstall and still have the exact same problem.

vodreaux, I'm having exactly the same problem with Zonealarm. Did you manage to fix this & if so could you please tell me how? I'm running xp & not Me though.

Hi. I had ZoneAlarm installed on my computer, but recently, I uninstalled the program. Probably not completely, though. Since then, when I restart my computer, a mesasge comes up stating: "Cannot find file to run a windows application...may need to reinstall program..." It lists the file as vsdata.vxd. How can I stop this message from coming up on my computer? Thanks!

VLM

VLM123 you can go into msconfig and uncheck the vsdata.vxd. start, run, in the box type msconfig. I think is the third tab from the right.
