If you have access to the VB.NET resource kit, ComponentOne provides a Zip library that is very easy to use.

It is based on an Open Source Zip algorithm which is compitable with PK-Zip

Hope this helps.

I don't have access to that. Do you know of any other way?

sharpdevelop has afree library called that zips so look at there site.

The one I sent is freeware too, but I'd personally rather use one that's made for .Net if I could find it. So I'd investigate earthandfire's lead.

Bob, SharpDevelop is an alternative IDE for .NET and is free. My suggestion is only free if you have the resource kit, which I believe is no longer being supplied, otherwise you have to buy it from ComponentOne.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the clarification, earthandfire, I'll remember.
