Hello,

I bought recently an external zip drive Iomega 750MB with two 750 MB Disks.Unfortunately whenever I try to activate I have an error message " Request could not be perfomed because of an I/O device error".

However when I test two other zip disks 100 MB and 250 MB Iomega, I manage to open them succesfully in the 750 MB zip drive.

Could someone please explain to me why is this happening?

Thank you

Could it be that the the 750 mbs are damaged? Not hard to do. Was the unit shipped to you?

You could go into your bios and see if there is some setting there that might affect your zip drive.

I am guessing its a usb drive and not a parallel port drive?
