zend certification

you heard of zend certification, they claim to standardize the certification for php. Im looking for reivews, and havent run across any. They seam REAL cheap for a cert. Any opinions? Although its cheap I would hate to waste time / money...

Well, you are talking about a certification that is sponsored by the company that writes PHP. So that would have to count for something.

Just keep in mind that a certification does not necessarily mean a job.

yes i noticed that they claim to write php. Im not looking for something to aid me in getting a job but i am looking at possibly being thrown directly into php and i am looking for a legit thorough training that will get me where i need to be and i am very hesitant on just signing up for something.

Yes if I were to be looking for someome for a php job I'd look far better on a zend certified person than someone who has been to megaphptech !.
Is the zend stuff the first of its kind ?

It's not an empty claim. Zend Technologies does publish PHP.

Do you have a link to this Zend Certification?

A cursory glance at their web site doesn't show me anything. Given the state of the intraweb these days I wouldn't be surprised to see someone trying to slide on the name of a company that isn't super famous/rich/litigous.
