Hello there, how can I convert a text string like "YYYYMMDD" into a date format "DD/MM/YYYY"?

if it's a static length like that :
dateval = "YYYYMMDD"
vardate = mid(dateval,5,2) & "/" & mid(dateval,7,2) & "/" Mid(dateval,1,4)
vardate = cdate(vardate)
