I have a network of XP clients logging into a Win2k domain with passwords set to expire at 40 day intervals. 14 days before the passwords expire users start getting a warning message to change their password. No one seems to like this as it means changing your password every 26 days, or living with the warning message for two weeks.

I know in a previous life I managed to change from 14 to 3 days on a Windows NT4 network, but I cant remeber how. I havent been able to find any useful info on how to do this.

Does anyone know?
