Hello Everybody,
*** Please read before responding. I am sure I will get a suggestion to set security to medium which I have already done. ***
I am getting this error when I try to download quicktime: "Your current security settings do not allow this file to be downloaded"
I have done this: Internet Options -> Security -> Internet -> Set to Default. This sets it to medium. I have even tried to set a custom level where I changed the setting labeled "Automatic Prompting for File Downloads" to enabled. I have exited Spyware Gaurd and have XP Firewall disabled. I CAN download other items like Ad-Aware, etc.
I do have IE-SpyAdd installed but apple.com is not in the restricted sites. Here is the link that I am starting at:
I unchecked the three boxes asking to email me info. This should start the download automatically but does not. Figuring it may be some script that is not allowing this to work, I then tried clicking on the box that says "Your download will start automatically. If it does not start click here" Both ways give me the same error.
I have also closed all open browsers after changing different setting to make sure that they took. I have not restarted the system.
Anybody have any ideas on this? I have searched Google and most people give the same suggestions which I have already tried.
Thanks,
Zych
