Hello,.

I have 3 TFNs from a hospital in Georgia that roll over to local numbers. Basically when people from different situations* call the roll over directly or the TFNs the get a message saying, "You have reached an unassigned number" .

* By different situations I mean the following

1. a client from a different exchange called a roll over number and got the message.

2. According to the client reporting the issue anyone dialing from the local exchange of one of the numbers
gets the message

Any suggestions, this sounds like a carrier issue but I'm just trying to cover everything.

Usually carrier messages have a message on the end that says 'zero 8 f t' that identifies the central office. Are you getting that message or do you have an annoucement in your system that has that message?

Its an intercept message that is being heard.
I finally was able to get someone at the site to let me hear the message.

I can't tell if the 8xx is switched, dedicated, or both. I think you're saying people are getting different results depending on where they're calling from. If service is switched, is the ringto number ported?

Is that local number part of you dial plan? I mean is the last 4 of the local number that the 1-800 number rides in on one of you normal DID numbers??? Does that DID have a phone assigned to it or VDN or COV?? Here's what "I" mean.

1-800-123-3344 rides in on local number xxx-5555. 5555 must be and extension and DID on your PRI or T-1. If you don't have 5555 as a regular number in your dial plan use another number like 2233. Add that station and go to page 2 or 3 on your trunk page and fill the Service/Feature block with public-ntwrk, called Len 4, Called Number 5555, Del 4, and Insert 2233. Hope this might be what your looking for. If not, then I'm reading the question wrong.
