when i logon to a citrix presentation server 3 with an administrator, i can logon without any problem

but when i try to logon with a normal user than i can't connect me to the server and i get the error
"you do not have access to logon to this session" and another connection error

"the desktop you are trying to open is currently available only to administrators. contact your administrator to confirm that the correct settings are in place for your client connection

citrix presentation server 3 automatically sets the "run only published applications" checkbox in the Citrix connnection configuration utility.

Is the desktop actually published or are you trying to get to it via a custom ICA connection?

I am having the same problem. I have install Presentation Server 3.0 on Windows 2000 Advanced Server. The desktop is not published, but rather I am trying to get it from a custom ICA connection. I have tried looking for the run only published applications checkbox in both the ICA and RDP configuration settings, but can not find that option.

Has anyone else had any luck figuring this out or for that matter run into this issue?

Thanks
Savil

give me your mailadres and i will send you a procedure

I had the same problem. I went to and looked it up and found this page. This fixed my problem. The instructions are kind of hazy, so I will spell it out for you in plain english.

From one of the Citrix Servers in the farm:
1. Start
2. Run
3. Citrix
4. Administrative Tools
5. Citrix Connection Configuration Tool
6. Double click on ICA-TCP
7. Click Advanced
8. Uncheck only run published applications.
9. Click ok
10. Double Click RDP-TCP
11. Click Advanced
12. Uncheck only run published applications.
13. Click ok
