Hello people

I have a problem with ntbackup. I have 7 tapes (one for each day of the week). On the restore tab, I can see all my tapes and a summary (+ date) from what is on them. When I want to restore a file on any of these tapes (making a catalog), it always asks for one same tape (the 'tuesday' one). So, I can catalog the 'tuesday' tape, but cannot catalog any other tape.

Is this a problem with ntbackup, or do I have problems with my tape drive?

(the drive is an internal SCSI AIT1 35 LVD, in a HP Proliant server)

check your backup schedule to see if you have the backup label as Tuesday on all days. I name the tapes by days of the week and number of the week(i.e. Friday-1, Monday-3, Tuesday-4) I use a four week rotation, by labeling this way ntbackup is looking for tape friday-1 on the day that it is scheduled if I have Monday-2 in the drive the backup will not run, and I will not overwrite data. I do verify backups daily before I change tapes, if the backup did not run I start the schedule manualy.
