In your last request for info you never bothered to reply whether the suggestions helped or not. I find this rude behavior. If you want my help in the future, keep that in mind.
A "thanks, it helped" or "it didn't work, but thanks anyway" would be a good way to end a thread. Much preferred to the big NOTHING.
My question was totally theoretical. I did not check
this logic becouse I did not have this case but thought
it can be someday practical for someone.

I generally give "Thanks in advance to replies" when I post in forums(I am new to this one however)-- personally I find that "Thanks" are implied and generally responses are appreciated, no need to add unnecessary responses..
