hello experts,

here is my problem...
have a group of users from a call center now on XP. They all have multiple applications running, minimize them, and click on the task from the task bar when they need one of them. A couple of the sessions are DOS windowed sessions started by the cmd command. Those particular sessions, once minimized, appear identical on the task bar, making it difficult to distinguish which task to click on.
So the question I pose is it possible to customize either the color of the minimized task on the task bar, or the text that shows.

Can you play around with something like this?

Title
Creates a title for the command prompt window.

Syntax
title [string]

Parameters
string
Specifies the title for the command prompt window.

For full information type "Title" in Help and Support program.

Another option is to make a batch file or shortcut to run the command. Then the command window takes the name of the file.

With the icons in the taskbar, right click on the icon and "change name" to a unique name for each icon to describe it.
