Hi all,
I can connect remotely using a dialup connection to our internal network using checkpoint secure remote.
When logged in I can go to a windows 2003 server via start run \\server2003
and all the shares come up.
However if I try the same with a windows NT server eg:
\\servernt then I get the error "the network path was not found" This is consistant on any winnt server that I try to connect to....I had a similar problem last year from win2000 client to Winnt Server but by ticking the "Client for microsoft network protocol" on the client fixed the problem. I have tried the same now but still cannot access NT... Is ths a known issue anywhere..

Just to clarify that I can ping servernt and all the other NT servers but I can't access the shares?

Ray..

check the MS website it usually covers what needs to be open on the FW, think you need to allow the old pptp ports through the CP.

sorry please ignor the last message, map the drive by IP for the old NT server drives ie :\\x.x.x.x, check the MS website for these issues.

Hi All ,
Just to let you know i sorted the problem by

>1. enable netbios over tcp / ip (do this on the dial up connection
>under networking / tcp ip / wins
>2 enable client for Microsoft networks on the dial up connection.
