Xp system restore wont work!

Hi everyone!

Have tried on numerous occasions to try and create a restore point but everytime i get the message 'cannot create restore point! restart windows and try again' every time i restart and start again its just the same.

im running xp with sp1 on an abit kt333r raid board,amd athlon 1.74ghz pro and 512 ddr2700 ram, 3hdd (80gig main and 37 & 17gig as holding drives)

can anyone please help?
