xp service pack 1 problems

xpspl_en_x86.exe was downloaded and seems to have badly affected my system. One of the main problems is the wiping of content from emails recd. Headers only arrive with no content. This is not general - only about half of the recd emails are blank.

Did you save the backup files? Have you trying running the uninstall?
Generally I haven't found many problems with SP1, but I think that the best way to install it is through slipstream because I've seen very few SP1 issues, but the ones I did see really made for a bad day. John D. Saucier

When I installed SP1 it changed the filter in my mail (Outlook Express) to protect me from attachments. Check you settings.
