Xp Problem polish-english

Hi
A Friend has given me his xp laptop to convert to english from polish without reinstalling windows. After never doing this before any help anyone could give me to convert it to english would be great. I have tried going in to regional settings and the language pannel but UK or English is not available.

It cannot be done with the MUI.

The MUI is not a retail product. It is only available from Microsoft System Accounts and from MSDN Univesal subscription.

It also requires the base installation be US English.

So in your case the localized Polish language installation is not acceptable for the use of the MUI, and you will find it very expensive (in the US$ thousands) to add a localized English install with MUI.
