Hello,
We have a PC running a phone-monitor system. The PC has a static IP, and I disabled the hibernation options and other power managemnet options(never on Hard drive shutdown etc.). But it still won't stay up after a certain time and the PC cannot be pinged. Any advise?

Thanks a lot, Turkbear!!!

The event has been saying that "Intel(R)PRO/1000 CT has been disconnected", then it shows the "connection established" like a minute or so later. I checked the PC and PC power light is in amber or orange, once you move the point device, it turns to green....like it was waken up. Any idea? Thanks

Use Device Manager, right-click on the Network Adapter, Properties, and see if there is a setting to allow the adapter to be suspended to save power. Uncheck the option.

also, dont forget to check the power settings in the BIOS, or the main PC system setup screen you can get to when first booting up, before windows loads. they could potentially be counteracting windows intentions of managing APM.
