XP Pro will not share program files folder with the rest of the networ 1

My xp pro machine will not share the program files folder with the rest of the network. Note:...I have even set up the folder Program Files seperate to share, it shows on the network but it will not let any machine access it.

By design.

There is usually little benefit to sharing the folder.

But add 'Everyone' and 'Authenticated Users' to the root of the folder with suitable permissions:
