I'm having an issue and it's driving me absolutely INSANE!!!

I have a simple Windows 2000 single DC domain. I have 4 clients...two Win2k Pro (SP4) and two XP Pro (SP2). I've created the most basic of all logon scripts...it maps a single drive to a share that has digital pictures in it. When a user logs on to the Win2k boxes...the script works, when a user logs on to an XP Pro box...the script DOES NOT RUN....

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY!!! I've checked permissions, script location, I've even tried assigning the script to the user's profile and it will not execute on the XP boxes... works great on the 2K boxes but will NOT run on the XP boxes.

I'm ready to throw myself off a bridge, anyone have any ideas?

Where is your GPO located?
and in which OUs are your machines and users.?

do you have any other GPOs anywhere?

Thanks for responding!

The GPO is linked to an OU located off the root domain.

The machines and users are all in the same OU.

There are no other GPO's running in the environment.

....and again, the GPO runs fine on 2K boxes...is there some config on the XP side that I'm missing?

...did that... there's no security running on the XP systems at the moment...even Virus scanning is disabled.

download and install GPMC on one of the clients, and check its Resultant Set Of Policy...

and check the event logs on the XP machines, see if there is an error message concerning the GPO...
