Hello

I have built a server on my XP Pro box with IIS. Every thing is working fine as follows:

I can use a VPN connection from outside using my laptop and get access to the web site without any problems

I can just use an internet access account without VPN to get to my server but can't get in. However if I drop the firewall (not recommended of course) on the server I can get in without any problem to the site.

I'm using the firewall with XP. How can I configure it to allow access on port 80 or 8080 so I can access the site but still have the firewall running?

Many thanks

Derek

for this i only have one suggestion...if your internet service provider is verizon...port 80 is blocked and you will not be able to do what it is that you are trying to. there are no other ports blocked by them at this time....if your ISP is someone else you may want to ask them...it might have nothing to do with your equipment at all sometimes discussion is the only way to learn
