XP PRO crashes for no reason

Machine:
Dell Precision 650, dual 3.2 zeon, 1.0 gb of ram, 36gb scsi drive, Matrox g450 mms quad card (tried latest matrox driver and driver from windows update) Gigabit ethernet LAN.
Trader workstaion

For some reason, everything just comes to a halt. The video is frozen and the machine does not respond at all. No bluescreen, nothing in the event log, etc. I ran every Windows/office update and video card update, I also ran the dell hardware diag and found nothing.

What utility do you recommend in order to get to the bottom of this? This problem happens sometimes overnight, sometimes during the day. No system standby or hibernation being used.

Check Dell.com for a driver update. I have seen Dell's Intel NICs not work with Intel's driver.
