Hi,
I'm running XP Pro, and everything worked find until I installed Java 1.4 sdk. After I installed Java it worked fine for about an hour and then it froze on me. After restarting the system XP came up in 4 bit color and 800x600 resolution. And an error appeared saying that it failed to load some .dll file which could be connected to DirectDraw, since it could not test the DirectDraw acceleration with the diagnostic tool (adding) saying that there wasn't any DirectDraw support on the system or something like that.
Then I disable my GeForce 4 Graphic card and enable my on board Intel 810i graphics thinking that that might be the cause.
After restarting the PC the XP logo appeared and the system started to boot up, and just before the log on screen should have appeared the system rebooted it self. The problem repeats it self every time I try to start the PC.

After trying everything I knew in order to boot the XP properly, I installed XP on a second hard drive , and everything worked just fine
including my graphic card and the hard drive in question which a reconnected as slave. But the weird thing is that I can access programs installed but cannot access My Document folder (Access is denied message uprears), no matter what security settings I change.

Any suggestions on how can I boot XP or at least recover files in My Document folder.

Thank you

It worked, now I can access the folder.

Thanks smah
