I would like to change the way XP looks for the domain to
authenticate the WEB user logon. I have several web
folders/pages that need authenication. We are a sub domain
and XP looks to our local domain to authenticate users.
Older versions of the OS asked for a domain, currently we
must specify in XP:

domain\userid
password

I would like to just enter the userid. I am getting too
many calls on how to access secure web pages.
I know Exchange has this option to authenticate from a
different domain.
Thanks,
Neal

Have you tried using the full username? - name@domain

Ash.

Ash,

Yes, we use domain\userid now but many of our users do not know to do this. I am trying to find a way to specify to authentication domain to avoid having to supply the domain.

Thanks,
Neal
