Hi, i have a MS-DOS based programme that i was running on my windows 98 machine. While i was using this programme if i was to press ALT+PrtScr and then F10 it would send the page i'm looking at to the printer and print it off. however since i have upgraded to XP this key combination only prints out a blank page! Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this and how i can fix it?

Thanks

Dan

What is the name of the program that you are using?

Also have you tried using the Compatablity Layer?

Any feed back is appreciated.

Even in Win9x the Alt-Printscreen combination would capture to the clipboard. I suspect that differences in the clipboard are affecting whatever programming was done so that the F10 combination would retrieve the clipboard contents, redirect them to the printer and send a form feed.

Alt-Printscreen still captures the active window to the clipboard unless the program is in graphics and not text mode. If that is the case then nothing is captured.

You might explore Third-Party tools for this. Snag-it, and Hyper-Snap DX are two that can capture even graphics mode contents.
