Hi,

I'm having a problem with severel aspects of XP ( Firstly for some strange reason I cannot log into hotmail through ie 6 as it freezes the screen any other web site is fine as long as it dosen't involve e-mail, secondly if you do ctrl, alt, delete or try and open norton firewall and anti virus it opens for a split second and then closes same as if you turn on automatic updates in the services it disables immediatly. I'm really stuck I have removed all spyware, run another virus software and no viruses found. Has anybody heard of this before?

My guess is no you haven't.

Sounds like a very bad piece of malware, or a virus.

I used webroot to scan and remove the spyware, it was something a colleague suggested. thank you stduc I will have a look at those web sites.

the problem is, it requires more than 1 spyware or adware program to remove all spyware and adware.. and they don't help at all against anything new, as they have not updated to detect those yet.

Same goes with anti-virus programs.
