Im running XP home and hust have a quick question. When i try shutting down my XP it hangs very slowly and takes a couple minutes before it shuts down. Anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to speed this up?

Also are there any good sites out there on how I can learn how to configure XP home so I can network it with computers running Windows 98?

Probably it's because of WinXP has to do much more things on shutdown than for example Win9x/Me (like shutting all services, closing all connections to net, etc.) I have a dual boot to Win98SE + WinXP and as win98 are down in a second, it takes WinXP some 30-40 seconds to shut down. Probably disabling all unnecessary services may make the shutdown shorter.
