Hello - i've run into a little problem that has got me stumped. I have 2 XP Pro PC's that are configured for dynamic IP's assigned from a Win2K Server with AD, DNS, RRAS and DHCP all functioning properly on the server. The problem is that only one of the XP PC's will pull in an IP address from the server. Both client PC's are configured the same as far as network properties go. If I ping the gateway from the problem pc - it can't hit it. If I manually configure an IP address for it - it works fine.
I know the DHCP scope and RRAS sets are all good...I am stumped. Any ideas??

Thanks,

What happens on the other XP? Once it starts, find out what the IP address is that gets assigned - is it an APIPA by any chance?

Yes the problem pc is assigning itself an automatic private address....the pc that is allright - pulls an ip from the address pool without problem.
