Get this...I have a desktop winxp machine....it has 2 NICS. 1 NIC is for internal LAN, and 2nd NIC(wireless) is for wireless internet ( seperate LAN). When I login to the domain, I cannot see the network drives...EXCEPT...when I disable the wireless NIC card. Once the wireless NIC is disabled, I can browse the network drives, and then enable the wireless NIC so I have access to both the internet and the network drives.
I have struggles with this all day...any suggestions would be might appreciated!

Under the TCP/IP, Advanced, Properties sheet uncheck the default to use an automatic Matrix assignment. It is not clear which LAN you want first, but one should have a manual matrix of 1, and the other a manual matrix of 2.

I changed the metric settings for each NIC....making the LAN 1, and the wireless NIC 2. I am still having the same problem. Any other suggestions?

Binding order?

Open up Network Connections, then choose advanced settings from the Advanced menu.

Found a fix....WINS address. LAN Wired card running DHCP, Wirless NIC configured static. No WINS on wireless since I am accessing a cable modem, so I input the wireless router IP aadress in WINS. Works just fine now.

Nobody told me there would be days like this...........
