Hello Everybody,
I'm using e*Gate ver 4.5.1 with monk.I have a vendor who wants to send HL7 messages in XML format instead of pipe delimited. How can I setup the e*Way to receive XML messages and sends ACKS ? Is there any genericmonk executable available which could do this.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

Thanks,
Shibu Mathew

hey shibu

first of all tell me from which system the e*way is going to receive this HL7 message...and is ur e*gate configured accordingly...

if yes when u send ACKS back from e*way, check if u have the ETD converter library for this to convert the HL7 message structure in to e*gate format...

mail me abt this...

cheers

Sundeep,
The e*Way will be running on an AIX server(ver 5.1) and it will be receiving HL7 messages from an external NT server.I have found out that I will need "XML toolkit" to convert the HL7 messages( comming in XML format) to HL7 messages in pipe delimited format. What I would like to know is , does this XML toolkit include an e*Way which could handle XML messages. If not, which e*way executable should I be using to send ACK's back to the NT server in the XML format. I'm currently using genericmonk and wrapped e*way( to send ACK's back to external in Pipe delimited format .

thanks,
Shibu

shibu,

if u go thru the XML toolkit pdf
pls go thru page no : 56-60 and this will give u a clear idea...

by default XML toolkit to my knowledge does not have an e*way connection file...

cheers
