Say you migrate files from a server onto new hard drives. Is there a switch in xcopy or maybe an add on program from microsoft, etc., that will copy the specific file properties: date created, modified, accessed?
When we migrated files here, the files actually lose the date they were created. For example. A file was created on the server in 2002. We migrated it in 2004 to new hard drives. The File properties show a created date of time it was moved (2004), but a modified date of the date it was last modified (2002).
I know if you perform a move that the file properties stay intact, but I would like to use a copy. Thank you.
