xcopy problem

hi, i tried to copy the data from my disk to an other disk using xcopy.
i tried the following command because i didn't want to lose the security settings on the directory's
xcopy x:\testje c: /e /t /f /k /x
but now the security settings from my harddisk are disapierd
"now access" message
what did go wrong ?
 
/O Copies file ownership and ACL information.

in XP I would use the above option. DOn't know what the switch would be in 2000
 
You should use robocopy.exe instead. It's a better utility than xcopy. It's available from the Resource Kit.
 
Check it out. /o only works for 2000 according to this site. Keep in mind, it might be an old site. Good luck.
