WSUS clients won't download updates 1

I'm having trouble getting my WSUS clients to download updates, i've approved all the ones they should need and setup the GP. I'm sure the GP is working as the clients appear in the list on the WSUS server and say what updates they need and what they don't, but they never get applied.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Using 2003 server and IIS6.

Not at all,

I was in a MS for Partners training class for WSUS and their recommendations were to create 4 policies.

Servers
Workstations
Laptops
Test Machines

Add more if needed, for instance Servers could be broken up into Servers and Domain Controllers.

If a particular patch messes up your sales application then create a Sales group and deny that patch to just the Sales Group.
It is this flexibility that makes this such a powerful product.

I think i will continue with a few groups for the workstations, i only have six servers so i'll do them manually untill i've got the hang.
